The Association
The Apartment Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh was founded in 1971 and is the official voice for the apartment industry in the area. The Association is comprised of apartment owners, managers, investors, financial institutions, suppliers, subcontractors, utilities, and builders in the multi-family housing industry.
Our primary purpose: sharing knowledge to build the industry, focuses on member education, legislative & regulatory action and promoting apartment living in the metropolitan Pittsburgh area.
The Apartment Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh is an equal opportunity trade organization and adheres to all applicable local, state, and federal laws with regard to its membership, employment, and all other activities.

Legislative Affairs
The Apartment Association represents the interests of apartment owners and managers on the local, state, and federal levels of government. The Association monitors legislative and regulatory activities that have an effect on the multi-family housing industry and lobbies against any such activity that is expected to have a negative impact on the industry.
Education
The Apartment Association offers a variety of seminars and programs throughout the year. Topics include property managment, business and employee development, and maintenance. Programs are updated each year to address timely issues and member input. The Association also sponsors numerous educational events in the form of general membership meetings and supplier sponsored social activities.
These meetings provide an excellent opportunity to exchange information and develop valuable network contacts.

As an exclusive offer to members, the Association offers a variety of premium insurance programs at discounted prices. These include health insurance, dental and eye coverage, group life and disability, workers compensation, general liability, etc. These programs are offered to member firms and their employees.

As a member of the Apartment Association you are entitled to variety of special services and discounts that the Association provides.

The Apartment Association offers its members a variety of advertising options.
State & National Memberships
When you join the Apartment Association you have the option of joining the state and national organizations with which we are affiliated - the Pennsylvania Builders Association (PBA) and The Multi-Family Council of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). These organizations work for you by offering additional special programs and services such as trade publications, legislative updates, and legal compliance reports.
